  This probably geared more towards Yamaha than the store. The store is fine I guess. I purchased an N2 in September of 2017. I love the action and sound on it, although the other voices are pretty much useless. I did have a key break, which really surprised me. I feel like you could hit this thing with a hammer and not break it.
  
  Anyway, the N2 has what is called a volume bloom issue when using the sustain pedal. Under most circumstances you may not notice, but there are times where it is very evident, particularly playing anything soft or delicate. I've been working with Yamaha support to resolve it and there hasn't been any luck. At first, they thought firmware would fix it. So they sent me that, but it turns out I already had that version. So they then talked to marketing and turn around and tell me it's a feature. l laughed! They even went as far as saying it was my fault because I trained my ear to hear it.
  
  The Yamaha technician on the other hand, the one who fixed the key, has been very helpful (I'll write a separate review for that business). He tried fixing the issue by replacing a board, which he was told by a lead technician would solve the problem. Unfortunately it didn't. So now I'm stuck with an expensive unit, which in my opinion has a major defect, although Yamaha won't acknowledge it.
  
  It's interesting that the N2 is up on a platform at the store. It makes it difficult for a customer to use the pedal when testing the unit. Perhaps they know about they issue and don't want people finding out?? Hmmm. I did go in a few weeks ago and test that N2. It has the same problem.
  
  Still, the N2 has great action and sound. I would wait though until the N2X comes out (if it ever does). Kawai just released the NV10 which one might consider as well, although it will probably be 4K more than the N2 now - at least here in the United States. Edit that last sentence - it appears the NV10 will be priced competitively with the N2. I'd highly recommend looking at the NV10 first.
